British Science Week

24th March 2017

British Science Week was held 13 to 17 March 2017 and we focused our science week on the topic of flight and aviation. We enjoyed learning all about aeroplanes and flight. We were lucky to receive a fascinating talk from a female pilot from Easyjet who came in to talk to us about her job. We also enjoyed a talk from an air hostess and a Concorde specialist from the Manchester Aviation Park. Our girls were also able to practice flying an aeroplane on an actual flight simulator.

Alongside our week learning all about aeroplanes and flight, some girls were able to take part in the ‘Tim Peake Space Project’, run by PSQM (Primary Science Quality Mark). We also enjoyed a visit from STEM (Science Technology Engineering Maths) Ambassadors from Waters Laboratory at Wilmslow.
