4 young school girls

Outward Bound

7th July 2016

In June, our Year 6 pupils embarked on their residential week to Ullswater to experience 5 days of adventure and challenge in the beautiful Lake District. We were incredibly fortunate that the sun was shining for the entire week!

Throughout the week, the pupils experienced a wide range of outdoor challenges that allowed them to push themselves out of their comfort zone. These included, gorge walking, canoeing, hill walking, cliff jumping and the trapeze.

The course was designed to stretch the girls and to develop their independence, thinking skills, resilience and confidence to help them make that transition to secondary school as smooth as possible. The dedicated and experienced instructors ensured that the girls worked together and strived to meet their own personal targets in every activity.

It was a wonderful week, full of adventure, challenge and new experiences. We’re already looking forward to next year!
