7th July 2015
On Thursday 25th June, Year 4 went on a trip to Speke Hall. We were excited on the coach and couldn’t wait to arrive.
We met our guide in the education room. When we were having our tour we saw lots of interesting things, including the poor pigeons that were waiting to be put into pigeon pie and a spy hole in the blue bedroom so you could see if a priest hunter was coming. There was also a hole in which the priest could hide.
Soon, the whole morning had passed and it was time for lunch. After lunch, we went to the shop. When everyone had bought something we went in a room with our guide to learn about Tudor artefacts. Then we made pomanders: oranges with cloves in them. Before we knew it, we were back at school.
