STEM is the future!

Year 5 & 6 were inspired by three young female Engineers from the PM group who visited our school last week. They were asked to design a utensil to rescue a variety of items from several external grids. Despite having limited resources, our creative girls impressed the Engineers by coming up new and ingenious devices. They had great fun testing and then adapting them to overcome the barriers they were met with, just as a real engineer would. They were then given a real-life, scaled drawing and asked to use their maths skills to determine how long an antenna would rise above a building. #RiseToTheChallenge, #BeInventors, #STEMIsTheFuture
