Altrincham Schools’ Music Festival

13th March 2020

students playing the flute, clarinet or recorder

We have been immensely proud of our BPS musicians this week as they performed at the Altrincham Music Festival. This event is non-competitive and is always a wonderful opportunity to develop confidence as well as showcase the talent that our girls exhibit as they practise each week in various Music Clubs.

Our choir performed their two pieces with a level of professionalism that I [Mrs Clarke] always feel very humbled by, and the adjudicator in her comments couldn’t be more positive; ‘You looked so smart and performed as a well-trained choir; your diction was clear and you seemed to thoroughly enjoy the songs’.

The woodwind ensemble, string group, brass group and samba band also had opportunities to perform within the instrumental class on Wednesday, all of whom performed extremely well and received further praise from the adjudicators: For our brass band: ‘You played very well in tune, and very well balanced.’ and for our samba band: ‘Well done for following your conductor well, what an enjoyable performance’.

Congratulations to all involved and we are looking forward to seeing what you prepare for BFest!
