Year 6 make their own shrines

6th March 2017

Year 6 girls thoroughly enjoyed applying their knowledge of religious shrines gleaned during their study of Buddhism when designing and making a shrine of their own. Some pupils incorporated items such as lotus flowers and Buddha statues whilst others chose to make a more personal shrine including items that were precious to them, such as family photographs or a special necklace. They proudly displayed their models for visiting parents at a coffee morning and gave presentations to their classes explaining the thoughts behind their designs and the making process.
