Bowdon Prep girls celebrate the end of the exam season!

18th January 2019

For many of Bowdon Prep’s Year 6 girls, this week marks the end of the local independent school examinations, which signals a time when they can celebrate their Perseverance and look forward to future Success.

Eleanore and Lottie (pictured) told us about their exam experiences…

Lottie applied for for Withington Girls School and Cheadle Hulme School this term. She said “I wasn’t nervous – I was calm and relaxed”. She praised her teachers for preparing her, adding, “they helped us to think positively and said that if we were struggling, we should picture nice things in our minds, such as being with our families.”

Last term, Eleanore took exams for Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Loreto Grammar School. She said, “I felt comfortable – I knew what to expect and we had covered most of the topics in the paper.’

Exam preparation is something that Bowdon Prep takes seriously. From Year 4 onwards, we work to prepare all the girls for the different requirements of the many local grammar and independent schools.

Now Year 6 are working on their interview skills – find out more about this next week!
