Year 2 Visit Manchester Art Gallery

Year 2 had a fabulous trip to the Manchester Art Gallery. We took part in two very interesting workshops. After looking at the characters and settings in some of the paintings, we made up our very own fairy tales, using figures, blocks and materials to help us act them out. We even had a chest filled with treasure! We then went back into the galleries to look carefully at the different tones and shades of colour in the paintings, before experimenting and mixing our own shades of green, orange or purple. We got to take our very own shade home in a test tube, and we all had lots of fun!
