Christmas Season Gets Underway for Year 6

5th December 2017

The Christmas season got underway in style for Year 6 with a visit to The Octagon Theatre in Bolton for a performance of “A Christmas Carol”. The cast, including a number of local children, was excellent as they sang, danced, played instruments and acted. We were all entranced by the ghosts of Christmases past, present and future as they taught Scrooge a valuable lesson about the important things in life. The play presented the story in a clear way and had just the right amount of fun alongside the Victorian moral tale to keep the audience entertained throughout. We are going to follow up some more of Dickens’ work and this was a brilliant introduction to his characters and settings.
