National Women in Engineering Day

23 June 2016 was National Women in Engineering Day. In science, we looked at the many different types of engineering fields. Our Year 3 girls are entering a competition to design a poster to encourage girls to consider careers in engineering. I hope that you will wish them luck with their entries.

The Year 5 girls looked at aeronautical engineering and their design brief was to build the inside of an aeroplane wing. The girls worked brilliantly together and displayed team work, leadership and problem solving skills. Well done girls!
