Bowdon Prep School is an 'Outstanding School' (Ofsted Nov. 2009)
We are a successful Independent Day School for girls aged 3 to 11 years.
The main school is situated on Stamford Road, Bowdon - within easy reach of Hale and Altrincham - and the Kindergarten is in Timperley. We provide a bus service linking
the two sites in the morning and afternoon.
Main entry is at the age of 3, although a limited number of places are available at 4 years.
We prepare our girls for entry into the top senior schools in the area and we have an excellent
record of success in gaining scholarships to public schools as well as in entrance examinations to
local grammar and independent day schools.
We aim to foster within our pupils the values of courtesy and responsibility. We encourage
enthusiasm, a genuine love of learning, good work habits and, most importantly, a sense of achievement. By the end of their time at school, the girls 'are accomplished
and well rounded individuals' (Ofsted).
To achieve these aims we provide highly skilled and professional staff to give our children a stable, secure and stimulating environment in which to flourish.
