Welcome

Bowdon is an independent day school for girls aged two and a half to eleven years. The main school is situated on Stamford Road, within easy reach of Bowdon, Hale and Altrincham. The Kindergarten is in Timperley village and there is a bus service linking the two sites in the morning and afternoon.

We aim to foster within our pupils the values of courtesy and responsibility. We encourage enthusiasm, a genuine love of learning, good work habits and, most importantly, a sense of achievement. To achieve these aims we provide highly skilled and professional staff to give our children a stable, secure and stimulating environment in which to flourish.

We prepare our girls for entry into the top senior schools in the area and we have an excellent record of success in gaining scholarships to public schools as well as in entrance examinations to local grammar and independent day schools.

Main entry is at the age of three, although a limited number of places are available at two and a half and at four years.
